A educação ambiental é de uma importância tal que transcende o que muita gente pensa. Não se resume aos cuidados que se devam ter com as plantas e os animais, é muito mais que isso. O seu objetivo é transformar comportamentos que visam mostrar que é possível o desenvolvimento com um mínimo de agressão ao meio ambiente.
O projeto Amanhágua Mirim, desenvolvido na região do entorno do Parque Estadual da Serra do Papagaio, visa uma perspectiva mais abrangente, não restringindo seu olhar à proteção e uso sustentável de recursos naturais, mas incorporando fortemente a proposta de construção de sociedades sustentáveis.
As escolas rurais de ensino fundamental da região são multi-seriadas (com diferentes séries de ensino em uma mesma sala de aula) e estão localizadas em bairros distantes dos centros municipais. O trabalho é desenvolvido com diversas atividades práticas, ligadas ao dia-a-dia das comunidades rurais, o que o torna ainda mais imprescindível.

AMANHAGUA JUNIOR ( Amanhagua Mirim)
The environmental education is extremely important and goes further overtaking the ordinary thoughts. It’s not just a question of what we have to do to care of the plants and the animals. Its objective is to transform the human behavior in order to show that is possible the economical development associated with the lower environment aggression.
The Amanhagua Junior Project have been developed in the region surrounding the PESP and turns its eyes to a holistic perception, which means not only the protection and the sustainable use of the natural resources but also to strongly incorporate the proposal to the construction of sustainable societies. In the rural elementary schools there’s not separated classes by age nor by degrees. Pupils are together in the same classroom. Normally those schools are very far of the municipal centers. The Amanhagua Junior work is done by the practices of several activities coming from the everyday life of the communities. All the circumstances above make it a crucial work.
